A Day in the Life of a Cybertary

Day to day, the life of a Cybertary franchisee varies, based on workload, client meetings, and the other necessary tasks of running a business. Here is a basic overview of the responsibilities that occur regularly in a Cybertary franchisee’s day.

Connect with new and existing clients

Franchisees consult with clients and potential clients—via phone and email and occasionally in their offices or at a local coffee shop—to determine what jobs they need us to do. Oftentimes the consultation with a client evolves into discussing other services we offer or areas in which the client may need additional help.

Manage team and workload

Managing your team and their workload is easy with the Cybertary Intranet system, an efficient “project manager” that allows you to match the client needs to the right Cybertary and to ensure each project meets its completion due date.

Daily team and workload management duties may include:
  • Collecting incoming work requests
  • Assigning projects based on team member fortés and availability
  • Distributing work to team members via email or other technology
  • Tracking progress on projects in the works
  • Reviewing work quality and delivering finished projects to clients

Attend networking activities

Franchisees engage in a variety of networking activities in forums where business owners congregate. Some examples include the Chamber of Commerce, BNI, TNI, LeTip, Rotary, Toastmasters, eWomen, NAWBO and other events or networking groups. These events might be a breakfast, luncheon or a cocktail hour depending on the group and what fits into your schedule. When Cybertary franchisees put themselves into a business networking forum, they naturally meet potential clients with a need for our services.

Fulfill marketing needs

Franchisees do a little bit of marketing every week. That might be a targeted postcard mailing, eBlast or print ad placements. There is no cold calling, door knocking, or hard selling needed—the demand for Cybertary services is there, and clients will come if you let them know about our services.

Manage bookkeeping

The bookkeeping for a Cybertary franchisee’s financials is rather simple. Twice a month, franchisees import team timesheets with their billable hours, invoice clients and pay the team members. This twice-monthly billing and payroll process takes about 2-3 hours.
